The Yupiteru MVT-5500 is a medium-sized portable scanner intended for listening to only AM and FM modes with long operating time. Typically using normal alkaline batteries, continuous listening extends to about 18 hours, while taking advantage of the energy saving function with an active-stand-by ratio of 1:5 the autonomy reaches approximately 44 hours ensuring uninterrupted use for practically two whole days. A total of 2000 memory locations are available, distributed in banks and on specific methods of use, the locations can be labeled with a name or an alphanumeric wording to facilitate their identification and management. Standard the search modes between band limits and within memories according to preferences. During the scans the search speed is 110 channels / second, an index of prominence that facilitates the detection of sporadic emissions as well as the effective analysis of a large portion of frequencies.
MVT-5500 performance and practical notes :
Unlike other Yupiteru scanners, the MVT-5500 model is primarily aimed at the Japanese domestic market. The display, for example, lends itself to display the characters of that language characterized by a complex graphic nature, certainly greater than the Western characters. When evaluating a purchase, make sure that the apparatus is accompanied by the English manual, whose availability seems uncertain. This indication is especially valid for purchases through eBay or other sites.
