The Kenwood R-2000 is an all-mode SSB, CW, AM, FM receiver that covers 150 kHz - 30 MHz in 30 bands, with an optional VHF converter unit to provide coverage of the 118-174 MHz frequency range. Key features include three IF filters with narrow-wide selector switch, noise blanker circuit, RF attenuator, slow or fast AGC, 50 Hz step digital VFO's, tuning speed switches allow changing the size of the step, 10 memories, memory and programmable band scan, memory and VFO is backed-up by an internal lithium battery, high and low impedance antenna terminals, large front mounted speaker, tone control, fluorescent tube digital display with 100 Hz resolution, 24 hour dual clock with timer. Ideated in Japan, year of introduction 1982.
