IC-T70A HD description :

The ICOM IC-T70A-HD is a rugged workhorse radio, dust protection and water-resistance equivalent to IP54 provides reliable operation for practical outdoor operation. Long lasting battery life: get 5 Watt of power on VHF and UHF in a small lightweight package, the lighter BP-265 Li-Ion battery pushes operation to 13.5 hours with auto power save ON, and an optional AA alkaline battery case is ideal for long storage or quick back-up. Loud audio: The ICT70A uses a BTL, bridge-tied load, amplifier that doubles the audio output. The 36mm large speaker delivers 700mW of loud and intelligible audio. 250 regular memories: with a maximum of 26 memory banks (and up to 100 channels per bank) you can pick and choose the desired banks for scanning. Internal VOX function: the transceiver has an internal voice operated transmit function for convenient handsfree operation when used with a compatible optional headset and plug adapter cable. Also, the VOX level and delay time are adjustable.

Superb FM TX. Built like a brick, long lasting battery and easy to programme with the keypad, or even easier with CHIRP. Note, a decent programming cable like one from RT systems is needed. I bought one for 24 UK pounds. Cheap cables don't work. If you can find an IC-T70 for a reasonable price buy it, you won't regret it.
