The C.Crane CC-Pocket combined ease of use, very good reception and sharp, well defined audio. It has five, one touch memory car type buttons for each band for quick use. As an advanced function you can access additional memory pages for AM and FM. The narrow AM filter is helpful to eliminate unwanted noise or adjacent overlapping stations. Narrow filter may work best for voice, normal setting (8 KHz) is best for music. NOAA radio with Alert monitor the standard channels dedicated in the USA on 162 MHz for Weather Alert System as follow.

CC-Pocket features :

Battery and signal strength meters, FM stereo or mono switch, weather alert activable for 4 / 8 / or 16hr. Display light, sleep timer (120, 90, 60, 30, 15 minutes), clock and alarm, removable belt clip, rubber protected sides. When earphones are plugged in they become an external antenna for FM and NOAA band. Built-in AM ferrite bar, 1.9" long. Selectable AM tuning steps, with 1 KHz min-step. About 100 hours of play with ear buds and about 80 hours using built-in speaker. LCD shut-off to reduce radio noise.

CC-Pocket performance and practical notes :

The CCPocket radio uses the latest in digital chip technology, with excellent selectivity and good sensitivity. It is able to bring in a weak FM station better than other pocket radio. The button layout is easy to understand for basic use. On AM band, the overload from a strong local station is not a problem like other handheld radios.
