FTM-7250D review
Matt | 26 November 2023 |
Have had mine for several years now. Rock solid, never had an issue. I use it exclusively for FLDIGI right now connected to a Signalink, but I used it for voice prior to that and always had good reports. I'm going to sell mine to put towards an HF rig but only because I purchased an FTM-300D that takes care of everything I had been using the FTM-7250DR for.

I bought one of these radios brand new and also bought the mini guide and programming setup to enter frequencies, and boy is it a piece of (....) to say the least it "locks up" constantly and only took me a two years to find a person who could set it up. Then it had to be returned for a full reset as I said it is prone to lock up cost me more than what I was prepared to spend on a radio and to me Yaesu, who I have been using there radios all my career in ham radio, really screwed up with this one and I have had over nine of there radios - this will be the last one now! Can not run it down enough and yeh get one if you like but do not say that you never knew it was so bad - I am telling you now!
