TS-940S review

I owned the TS940 and was very impressed with it. Unfortunately, it was damaged during shipment from the dealer to me after some maintenance had been completed. Prices vary, and some are ridiculous, e.g., $2000 from a ham in Australia with a $700 shipping tag.
The rig is anywhere from 35+ years old!

A fantastic rig, I had 3 and they are missed, just some problems with the internal Power Supply. I know of a friend who installed a modern switching PS inside, it turned out very well, the receiver was outstanding. The transmitter, another thoroughbred from the great Kenwood family.

TS-940S was my first HF radio when I became a HAM. I have been using it for 30+ years with no problem.
