G2 Reporter description :

The Grundig G2 Reporter is a beautifully designed receiver that integrates a tuner for medium, short and FM waves with a digital player/recorder. The use of a pair of speakers offers a quality stereo output while a line input allows you to enjoy other audio devices through the G2 speakers. The MP3 / WMA player and recorder give you the possibility to program your music library as well as to memorize the programs you have listened to or the live sound thanks to the built-in microphone or by using an external microphone. Recording time approximately 215 hours for an MP3 format at 40 Kbps. 248 radio stations can be inserted into the memory, the tuning can be set directly from the keyboard or with an automatic scan. Other features: Telescopic antenna and internal ferrite antenna for MW. Dot matrix LCD display with contrast adjustment for the indication of frequency, time, signal level, battery status. Multilingual support included and software update function. Built-in 4 GB flash memory, micro-SD card for cards up to 16 GB. Auto-off timer in 5 ~ 90 minutes, alarms with programmable power-on. Lithium battery 1250 mAh, autonomy of about 5 hours with the volume adjusted to 2/3 compared to the maximum power. Battery charge via USB.

G2 Reporter performance and practical notes :

The Grundig G2 Reporter project is shared with the DEGEN which markets it under the acronym DE1128, the differences between the two versions are minimal. The audio thanks to the two speakers with a diameter of 57 mm returns an appreciable sound when listening in the FM band, medium level features in MW and SW bands where the behavior proves in any case satisfactory for an apparatus of this category.
