Grundig Field description :

This receiver, also marketed as Grundig Field BT and Eton Field Radio 550, takes the place of the S450DLX model of which it inherits most of the features by adding as an evolution the RDS display for FM stations. By covering the 0.52 ~ 30 MHz range without gaps it is suitable both for consumer applications, for the optimal FM audio output, and for listening to broadcast stations on medium and short waves bands. For medium waves the radio integrates a ferrite antenna while for shortwave and FM there is a telescopic antenna, two connectors differentiated by impedance then allow the use of external antennas of various types depending on the frequency band. For the tuning there are two options, slow and fast, for the minimum steps in the rotation of the control knob. Banks for a total of 50 memories allow you to keep track of favorite frequencies.

Choice between narrow or wide filter in AM, continuous RF gain regulation, selection of Local or DX sensitivity, internal or external antenna switching, high and low audio tone control, clock, double alarm, sleep timer for programmable automatic switch-off between 1/5/10/15/30/45/60 and 90 minutes, keypad lock function, use of D type batteries (torch) for a great autonomy, battery status indicator, audio in/out line connections, for the FM band the display shows the RDS information by selecting between the fields PS / PTY / RT and DATA corresponding to the name and type of the program as well comments and station's references.

The Field BT version differs for the Bluetooth function that allows to enjoy your own source without physical connection, both the standard version and the BT still have dedicated jacks for audio input and output.
