The XHDATA D-808 radio adopts DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technique and double frequency conversion, highly improves the receiver sensitivity, selectivity and anti-image interference capability. On MW, SW, LW and AIR bands there are bandwidth settings that can be used to filter out unwanted noise or adjacent overlapping stations (500Hz, 1, 1.2, 2.2, 3, 4, 6KHz). Various station search methods, Automatic Search (ATS), Manually search the radio frequency (VF), Direct input frequency figures. Can store up-to 500 radio frequencies, divided into 50 storage pages. Package includes a specific bag, external antenna, USB charge cable, 18650 type lithium battery. Other features: Up and Down tuning buttons & main tuning knob, fine tuning knob to make slight adjustment, FM/AIR/SW whip antenna, external SW/AirBand antenna jack, sleep timer for shutdown function (120, 90, 60, 45, 30, 15 minutes), alarm, micro USB jack for battery charging, temperature display.

Very good little receiver with astonishing sensitivity on all bands. A little complex to use for a beginner but a great companion to use when traveling because of its small size. I recommend it because the price is affordable.

I found the radio an excellent performer on all bands (didn't test MW). It was a top performer on AM and FM, and very good on shortwave. SSB worked well. The radio just feels like quality to the touch.
However, I did not like the operation of the radio. The memory system of 10 pages with 10 frequencies per page makes little sense, plus there is no way to scroll through memories or delete them. The clock is labeled "Timer." There is an SSB fine tuning control where the volume control ought to be. Secondary button labels orange on gray and hard to read, impossible under some lighting. Time setting is tricky - you have to be fast. The radio enters sleep timer setting upon power on, and you have to wait for that to exit before you can turn the radio off. The antenna was stiff. There is no tone control or Local/DX switch. Sometimes you have to hit two extra keys to enter a frequency.
The manual is just plain awful. It is wrong in places, but woefully incomplete in others. A radio novice wouldn't have a clue how to use SSB, for example. The memory system really isn't explained at all. It says you have to long-press a button to start charging, but you don't.
