PL-380 description :
The Tecsun PL-380 covers long, medium, short waves from 2300 up to 21950 KHz, and the FM. While exhibiting a small size this radio employs a DSP from Silicon Labs, specifically the device Si4734, for processing the signals received which enhances the sound quality by allowing you to set the value of the bandwidth (in AM reception) between 1 , 2, 3 , 4 and 6 KHz. The tuning can be done by rotary control, using the keyboard, recalling one of the 550 memories, activating an automatic scan to identify the stronger signals in the band. The display shows very clearly all information including the frequency, the signal intensity, status icons, the clock, the temperature in C or F degrees.
PL-380 other features :
Clock, alarm, sleep timer, keypad lock, internal ferrite antenna for LM/ MW band and extractable stylus for SW/ FM, battery charge indicator, NiMH battery charger via USB socket. The package includes a wired antenna and a transport strap. The plastic case can be of two similar shades, silver or gray.

I own this PL-380 radio for three years. Using it for about six hours per day on 2600 mAh rechargeable batteries (recharging while installed) it needs to recharge once a week. Excellent, crystal clear FM reception with almost no antenna extended. Crystal clear display with all the information needed. Easy to use. Responsive buttons, although a bit hard to press.
