The BF-F8HP is an evolution of the BF-F8Plus and what makes it unique is three selectable RF power levels (1, 4 and 8 watt), a new 30% larger capacity battery, and a new 76 page really in-depth user's guide. This Baofeng includes the high gain V-85 antenna to optimize performance, moreover has full compatibility with UV-5R accessories. The F8HP has one built-in receiver but can watch two channels, in semi-duplex mode, for monitor two different frequencies even on different bands. Also while still monitoring your V/UHF radio frequencies in the background the user can listen to the FM broadcast band - of course any incoming call on V/UHF tuned frequencies will be given priority insuring never miss an call while listening FM stations. The transceiver supports the common CTCSS, DCS, and DTMF calling methods. You can customize the BF-F8HP using the free computer software for set-up channels, give channels alphanumeric names, programmable buttons, set VFO limits, radio to radio cloning, etc.
